If people can be helped at all to learn and grow into mature human beings, they will learn best when made to live with the consequences of their individual choices. An ideal system, therefore, hands as much political power as possible to the People themselves, but limits the scope of their legislative authority as much as possible to their own local jurisdictions.
The ideal system, then, is a constitutionally limited direct democracy.
If they cannot be helped, then what sort of nonsensical solution is it to abolish the state and its protections?
